History

Since its founding by Judge Alben Niles on January 31, 2014, The SVGCFO has been dedicated to its mission of increasing public awareness of Caribbean culture through art, music and education, as well providing charity to the needy directly or in cooperation with other charity organizations.

The  pre-launch party/meeting on November 9th, 2013 was held at the home of Judge A. Niles in Orlando, Florida.   Now in our 10th year of operation the Organization has grown and successfully adapted to the many changes that have impacted us all over this period of time.

Both in the past and in the present, the Organization has satisfied its mandates, depended on the support of our community and the members of the Caribbean diaspora as well as the generosity of our sponsors.

The Organization has now established itself as the leading Vincentian Association in Central Florida and is now widely known for the annual “Vincy Picnic'' and annual “Independence Dinner and Dance.”

The Organization has also been recognized for establishing the “Alben Niles Scholarship Fund.” Most recently, the SVGCFO contributed to the disaster relief effort following the volcanic eruption in St. Vincent in April of 2020.
